Walk a Week in Your Shoes

On January 15, 2010, Sapphire Jule King of the International Freedom Coalition launched the Walk a Week in Your Shoes campaign – a two-year, 10,266 mile walk around the United States to raise awareness of the need to build strong families in order to eradicate child maltreatment. Beset with challenges, she ended her courageous bid on January 23, 2010 after 95 miles. However, the dream still burns bright within her spirit for completion at a future date.
